3steps of our hair transplantation

  1. 1Collecting Donor Hairs

    Using a punch tool developed in our very own clinic, our process avoids using the scalpel for a more accurate and highly controllable method of extracting and implanting grafts.

    Our clinic utilizes the FUE (follicular unit extraction) method for hair implantation. Instead of using a scalpel to cut into the scalp, our highly trained doctors use an instrument developed in our clinic with a hollowed needle 0.8mm (currently the smallest size used in follicle extraction) in diameter attached on its end to extract right around each individual hair follicle. Our extraction method preserves the complete root of each graft (along with all the mechanisms surrounding the follicle necessary for hair growth and production) and transplants them to the target areas, allowing for continual regrowth long after the procedure. Our doctors are also able to extract and place hairs in the direction of natural hair growth, allowing for a natural finish.

    What’s the difference between FUE and FUT?

    Our clinic specializes in the FUE (follicular unit extraction) method for our operations. The FUE method involves less pain and leaves minimal scarring compared to the conventional FUT (follicular unit transplantation) method, as FUT involves removing a large area of the patient’s scalp. FUT usually leaves behind a large linear scar, and many patients report experiencing pain or a feeling of tightness after the area has been sewn back together. Furthermore, FUE’s technique gives the ability for our doctors to pick and choose the healthiest grafts from a large area on the back and sides of the patient’s head (unlike FUT where doctors are forced to work with the grafts found in the patch of removed scalp), allowing for the most optimal use of precious donor hairs.

  2. 2Graft Placement

    We understand that your hair plays an enormous part in others’ impressions of you. Our hair restoration experts will help design the most fitting hairline according to the nature of your hair loss, face shape, personal preference, and the plethora of other factors that affect your natural hairline shape.

    When placing the grafts, our clinic uses a needle 0.6 mm in diameter to create incisions. Conventional implanting methods make replanting grafts in the original level of density difficult. However, our method of using circular incisions allows for a higher degree of control over hair directionality and density, and doctors are able to successfully recreate the patient’s natural flow of hair growth.

  3. 3Implanting

    Our implanting tool utilizes air pressure for implantation, minimizing the damage inflicted on precious donor hairs.

    While conventional methods utilize tweezer-like tools for implantation, our method of using small bursts of air minimizes damage to keep the survival rates of the transplanted hairs high. Additionally, as the holes made in the target location are smaller than the size of the extracted grafts, each replanted hair fits securely in its new location, allowing for a higher degree of control over direction of hair growth and thus, gives patients the most natural-looking results.

The Mechanism Behind Hair Implant Surgery

 We utilize the hair on the back of the head that is more resistant to the effects of AGA.

Hairs on the backs and sides of the head are known to be more resilient against AGA and will continue to be even after transplantation. Thus, moving these robust hairs to target areas will provide long-term solutions against hair loss.

 Transplanted hairs will continue to grow throughout your lifetime.

Even as the AGA progresses in other areas, the transplanted hairs will continue to grow and undergo the natural cycles of hair growth.
