Transplanted hair continues to grow just as it did before transplantation. Whereas putting on a hairpiece instantly restores a full head of hair, transplanted hair grows entirely naturally and so one suffers no discomfort whatsoever from the gaze of people one meets. After eight to ten months it will have grown in completely. A small percentage of transplanted hair may fall out, the extent varying with the individual, but since new hairs will grow in again to replace those, there is no need for concern.
The prevailing belief about autologous hair transplants performed manually has been that almost all hairs transplanted by this method fall out, whereupon strong hairs then grow in after two to three months, but since hairs transplanted by means of the QHR System employed by i-Land Tower Clinic suffer almost no damage either in transplantation or after transplantation, they are healthy and vigorous, and most will continue to grow as before. Patients therefore enjoy faster growing in and filling in of their hair than was achieved with conventional autologous hair transplantation. They are free as well to adopt any hairstyle they please. They may have their hair styled, permed or colored, as they please. Their hair requires no troublesome maintenance whatsoever. They enjoy full liberation from the constant worries that come with thinning hair. |

However thin your hair may be, the hair on the sides and the back of your head will still be securely in place because these areas are programmed to block the action of the toxins produced by male hormones that are an important factor in thinning hair. This is why hair on the sides and back of the head continues to grow permanently for almost everybody. And even when transplanted elsewhere, the hair from those areas continues to grow.
Because this hair is your own, there is no post-transplant rejection whatsoever. Transplanted hair undergoes no change in color or texture, and the transplanted hair grays naturally as you age. Once a transplant is performed, no further maintenance or other troublesome intervention is required. Healthy, vigorous hair transplanted from the back of the head appear to be more numerous than the number actually transplanted. |

The conventional Japanese approach to hair transplant techniques has been that transplanted hair would take if the papilla or radix pili at the root of the hair remained extant, but either transplanted hairs have not taken well or, even when they do take, they have not been able to achieve a persistence rate of more than 70% or so. On the other hand, the micrograft and minigraft implantation and follicular implant hair transplantation techniques that have proven the most popular in the United States take the approach of transplanting hairs in a condition that includes all the tissue required for the transplant to take and as a result have been able to attain persistence rates of 90% to 95%, and in some cases even as high as 98%.
The conclusion drawn from this discrepancy is the difference between the two approaches. While the scientific explanation for this is yet unknown, what is now clear is that transplanting the root without damaging the hair bulb and without damaging the hair shaft is not enough to give good results. The important thing, in other words, is to transplant the hair with the stem cell and the follicle and the whole of their surrounding tissue intact. Even so, the state of affairs in Japan remains that techniques of hair transplantation based on the conventional approach to "transplanting hairs" remains deeply rooted. So long as we continue to ignore the fundamental difference in approach to this sort of hair transplantation and the fundamental difference in the results it achieves, the success rate of hair transplants performed with the patient's own hair will fail to rise.
Japan is behind the times with respect to hair transplantation.

The Quick Hair Restoration System is a cutting-edge autologous hair transplantation system that achieves high survival ratio and levels of safety in autologous hair transplant procedures. It is a secure and advanced autologous hair transplantation procedure that in Japan is available solely from the i-Land Tower Clinic Group.
The outstanding feature of the QHR System is the marked improvement in hair transplant survival ratio over conventional hair transplant procedures that results from the i-Land Tower Group's combination of the individual skills of our clinics' doctors with advanced New Omnigraft autologous hair transplant equipment that has successfully automated advanced medical techniques.
New Omnigraft is advanced autologous hair transplant equipment that has received American FDA and European CE Mark approval, screening standards that are considered to be stricter than those of the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, and is also the recipient of international patents. |

Advantage 1
Time required for transplants reduced by 1/2 to 2/3. With pain-free local anesthesia, almost no pain at all.
The entire process being an pain-free local anesthetized procedure, the patient experiences almost no pain at all, as well as greatly reduced stress due to the shorter time required for the surgical procedure. |
Advantage 2
Regeneration rates of near 100% for hair follicle cells, a fundamental solution to problems of thinning hair.
We employ special tools called the Hairtome and hand pieces. Not only do these reduce the time required for the procedure, they allow great improvement in the accuracy of hair transplantation angles and the success rate of hair transplants, which are the two most important issues in hair transplantation. |
Advantage 3
Speed, reliability and safety.
Not only has the New Omnigraft, which has successfully automated advanced medical techniques in autologous hair transplantation, achieved quick and reliable procedures, but also high levels of safety. |
Advantage 4
Marked improvements in procedure times and high transplant survival ratio.
The meticulous process of preparing the hair roots required for transplantation in units of 1-4 follicles is called grafting. Because grafting is performed with Hairtome equipment specially designed for that purpose, the time required for the procedure is improved markedly. i-Land Tower Clinic techniques further allow the preparation of grafts of tidy appearance and with strong survival capability, enabling hair transplantation with high survival ratio. |
Advantage 5
High design values permitting accurate alignment with the growth patterns of other hair.
Whereas the conventional limit for grafting holes was a diameter of 1 millimeter, New Omnigraft hand pieces have achieved improvements to diameters of 0.8 millimeters. This permits finer design with transplants of more hair follicles than before. |
Advantage 6
Casual hair transplant (transplant for small area) made possible only by the QHR System Direct Method.
Due to the direct acquisition of graft areas without any use whatsoever of conventional scalpels in the QHR System Direct Method, no noticeable scars are left in donor areas. |
